How we use your details

Legal

When you send an enquiry or apply for a role, we use what you give us to do that one thing. This page says what we collect, who handles it, how long we keep it, and how to change or remove it later.

It is deliberately short. The full picture, including cookies and website analytics, is in our privacy policy.

If you send an enquiry

We use the name, contact details, company details and message you enter to read your enquiry and reply to it. The email address and phone number are how we answer; the rest helps us send it to the right team.

We keep it while we are dealing with your enquiry and for a record of the exchange afterwards, and we remove it on request.

The form also offers a separate, optional box for occasional email about our services. It is not ticked for you, it is not needed to send an enquiry, and leaving it alone changes nothing about the reply you get.

If you apply for a role

We use the details you enter, along with the resume and photograph you attach, to assess your application and to contact you about it.

We keep an application for the recruitment cycle of the role you applied for and then remove it, unless you tick the optional box asking us to keep it on file for future openings - in which case we keep it for up to twelve months.

That box is optional in the real sense: your application is considered for the advertised role either way.

Who handles it

The team here who deal with enquiries and recruitment, and the email and hosting providers that run this site, which handle it on our instructions and for nothing of their own.

We do not sell it, and we do not pass it to anyone else for their marketing.

The record we keep of your agreement

When you tick the boxes on a form, we keep a record of it so that we can show later what you agreed to. It is a short entry, and this is the whole of it:

  • The reference shown to you when you sent the form.
  • Which boxes you ticked, and which you were offered and left unticked.
  • The date and time, and the version of the notice you were shown.
  • The email address you entered, which is how we find your records again.
  • Your IP address and the details your browser reports about itself - the browser and platform, screen and window size, language and time zone.
  • Whether the notice on the form was read to the end before you ticked.

What we do not do with it

That record is kept to evidence your agreement and for nothing else. It is not used for marketing, it is not fed into analytics, and it is not matched against anything else we hold.

We do not build a profile of you, and we do not track you across other sites.

Changing or removing what we hold

Email us at the address at the foot of this page and tell us what you would like. You can ask what we hold, have it corrected, have it removed, or withdraw your agreement to us holding it at all. There is no charge, and it does not have to be a formal request.

It helps if you write from the address you used on the form, or quote the reference we showed you when you sent it, so we can find the right records without asking you for anything more.

Withdrawing applies to what we have not already done. If we have replied to an enquiry, that reply has been sent.

If something is not right

Tell us and we will look at it. Our Grievance Officer is the contact for anything you are not satisfied with, and we answer within the period the law allows.

If we have not resolved it, India's data protection law also lets you raise the matter with the Data Protection Board of India.
